Here is a nice clean pair of early blown glass decanters. They have applied neck rings, panel cutting around shoulder, finer ribs cut around bottom edges. Both have a lovely engraved script monogram "WMW" in square cartouche. Bottoms have polished pontils.
Both have ribbed "mushroom" stoppers. Stoppers fit decanters, but one is larger. Although the decanters are clearly a pair, the one with the larger stopper also has a much larger neck opening than the other, so these may have been fitted with these originally. Probably English, ca. 1800,
Size: Approximately 8.5" high with stoppers, 3.25" bottom diameters.
Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
