This decanter has a cylindrical body with a convex horizontal band at shoulder. Neck has three rings, and panel cutting; the body has panel cutting and a band of petal-like cuts. Bottom has star cut.
The stopper, while not likely original, is cut in an interesting design, resembling four hearts (or a four leaf clover) when viewed from above. Probably English or Irish, nineteenth century.
Size: Approximately 10" high with stopper.
Condition: Good used condition. Chips to stopper, roughness around top and bottom edges of shoulder band, cloudiness/residue. Keep it filled with brandy and all will be fine.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, Returns are no problem if I happen to miss anything.
