This copper luster pitcher has relief figures based on a classical scene, including women with floral offerings and a winged figure riding what looks like a polka-dot goat. Details are picked out in polychrome enamel, there is blue background. Shape is a tapered form. Probably English ca. 1850.
Size: Approximately 7" high,
Condition: Excellent. Minor enamel loss to high spots. No chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, I would expect a return if I happen to miss anything.
