This set of eight coffee cups (cans) and saucers are of English blue and white porcelain with gilt trim, and are attributed to New Hall, ca. 1785-90. This variant of the traditional "Blue Willow" pattern has been named "Man on Bridge" by Geoffrey Godden in his book "New Hall Porcelains" (see pages 290 – 296).
Size: Saucer diameter approximately 5.12"; cup approximately 2.5"high, top 2.5" diameter.
Condition: Line in one cup. No other chips, cracks or repairs.
Note that I try to be conservative about condition descriptions, carefully noting any flaws. Of course, with antique items, there will be some signs of usage, and/or manufacturing defects. But overall, my customers have always been pleasantly surprised upon receiving their items, and of course, I would expect a return if I happen to miss anything.
