What a nice conversation piece for any outdoor sportsman, hunter or shooter. This is a 1940's era wooden shipping crate for 12 gauge shot shell cartridges. The crate was made to hold 500 individual shells; or a total of 20 boxes of shells sold in the retail stores. The paint is all original. The lettering is still strong considering the age and intended use. The corner construction used nails and staples for added strength. The overall condition is solid and displays very well. As with all items, the value is based on the condition today.
Size: 14 1/2 x 9 x 9 1/4 all inches.
