This is a beautiful piece that still can be used or would make a great accent piece for decorating. It would look wonderful with a few sprigs of greenery or just a lone flower in it. The base has been painted with gold but the underlying red color is showing through as it does on many of the Worcester pieces. The vase portion is a wonderful ivory color with graduated portions getting smaller as it goes to the top. It resembles a bamboo stalk and has a greenish gold bamboo leaf decorating the front. The gold rim completes this piece nicely. There are no hairlines, chips or cracks; manufacturing anomalies may exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc
Measures: 5" H x 1 3/4" w at base 1 1/8" W at the top
Backstamp: Worcester Mark with 4 dots under and 12 beside name Dates it to 1912
