Set of (4):This transfer pattern was registered to the Dimmock pottery in June 1880. The transfer color is a deep chocolate and coffee brown and is on a wonderful cream color background. The central cartouche almost looks like a postcard front. The bowls have a running doe in a meadow with trees and mountains in the background. The surrounding pattern is an asymmetrical arrangement of two cartouches of leaves and flower, one cartouche has a bird sitting on a branch amongst leaves and flowers. A circle of geometric design boarder the lower patterns. Greek key pattern appears on outer rim of the border along with a pyramid design. Brown bands separate the awesome patterns. Please see pictures one is in great condition and the other 3 have minor flaws, but for being over 129 years old look remarkable! IT IS RARE TO FIND VINTAGE AND ANTIQUE EARTHENWARE IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IF PRESENT IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE.
