This interesting pattern always combines a fan with a small insect, crane and a scroll bearing an impressed clipper ship. The platter has a ivory pebbled ground with all the mentioned designs in wonderful raised relief. Pink and yellow branches of Prunus flowers surround the fan and scroll design. The rim and handles are a nice rich brown. The handles have two bands of magenta which ties in nicely with the magenta flowers. The underside is a cream colored. This pattern can be seen on PG 198 IN Warman's Majolica by Mark Moran. Condition is excellent with minimal wear. The underside has some staining so please see pictures. I have included a picture of the platter with our matching teapot, these make an awesome set!! IT IS RARE TO FIND VINTAGE AND ANTIQUE MAJOLICA IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE.
