Max has painted this plate with such perfection and realism that I swear you can smell the sweet scent of ripe peaches! He has used a nicely scalloped china mold adding an added touch to the beauty of his work and has painted his rendition of beautiful ripe peaches on a branch. He has used hues of red, peach, green and golden yellow to depict the ripeness of the peaches. It makes you want to reach out and grab one off of the limb! The branches are done in a greenish brown with leaves of various shades adding depth to this masterpiece. He has placed this magnificent work of art on a background of grayish green cream and light peach tones. To finish off this wonderful piece he has enclosed it with a rim of gold. This beauty is signed on the front by professional French Studio artist 'MAX'. He was a listed French porcelain artist, who is referenced and featured in current Limoges book by Mary Gaston's 'Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain', 3rd Edition plates 273, 299, 306, 593, 594, 720, 878 & 893. The gold on the rim is slightly worn but otherwise it is in excellent condition. There are no chips, hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
Please check out the additional fruit plates by "MAX" PLT786 & PLT646. What a grouping these would make!!!
