This is an outstanding piece of Limoges hand decorated by the renowned Tressemann & Vogt Company for the company of Abram French Co in Boston MA. (The Abram French Co was a high end shop that sold crockery, glassware, and china in 19th-century Boston. The firm billed itself as "importers of crockery, china and glass ware, French and Bohemian fancy goods, silver plated ware and cutlery, paper hangings.".) The edge of this piece has a pie crust embossed look which brings your eye to the wonderful raised leaf design on the rim. The leaves have been outlined in fine gold lines and gold vines connect each leaf going around the charger. A golden swag transfer has been placed on the upper edge of the piece around the center. In the center dainty pink, yellow and violet flowers on long wispy green and blue stems have been placed on the creamy white background. This would be a great serving piece for that special occasion! There are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc. This would look wonderful displayed for people to appreciate!
