This wonderful old plate has a nice large rim that dips in slightly as it recedes to the center. The rim also has several indentions that are hard to see but give it an unusual feel. A beautiful blue black transfer of vines and berries are on the outside of the rim over a diamond shape pattern. Scroll work separates the rim design from the white background of the center. A transfer of a farm scene with a man feeding animals in the foreground and barns, trees and house in the background give the pattern its name. There are no chips, hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc

Backstamp: GJ & Sons in the crescent shape impressed GJ Measures: 10 ½" W x 1 ¼" H
