This pretty plate is hand painted with two groupings of blue forget-me-nots and greenery on a ground of white, pink and powder blue. The rim is decorated with a wide band of gold gilding that is highlighted with forget-me-nots and outlined in a red. The plate was decorated by Zuie McCorkle, and is signed by her. She decorated at the Ravenswood Studio from 1905-1910, and is best known for her well executed floral in stylized and Art Nouveau patterns. There are no chips, hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc. This would be a wonderful addition for any Pickard collector!!
