The mold used for this piece is phenomenal! It has a rococo scalloped edge with raised relief almost an inch down from the rim towards the center of the plate. A transfer of wild flowers has been placed in the well and blue and pink enamel has been used to accent the flowers. The artist has applied raised gold paint on the stems and fern leaves really making the whole plate pop! There are no chips, hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
This definitely would be an asset to any Limoges collection!
