The sign "A La Pantoufle de Cendrillon", translated to english "A Slipper for Cinderella". This plaque has a wonderful old scene of a shoemaker / cobbler assisting a young woman with trying on shoes. Other shoes are placed on a rug possibly the ones she wishes to buy or the ones she has tossed aside in search for that perfect fit. The rim of the plaque is a beautiful cranberry color. On the rim cranberry bands form large cartouches which are filled with blue, yellow and pink flowers. Smaller cartouchs have a single flower within them. The plaque is in good condition but does have two hairlines. These cracks are hard to see from the front, please see pictures. Manufacturing anomalies may exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
