Wonderful polychrome transfer of a woman playing a violin. Three winged babies or nymphs are dressed in costume dancing around. The piece was designed by Froment-Richard aka Antoine-Albert Richard. He has placed his FR initials on the corner of the building on the plate. This artist was born in 1845. He worked with Barluet Creil Montereau Manufactory since 1876 and the Sarreguemines Factory. His main themes are around children designed within delightful scenes. The most known patterns are the "Service Parisien" for Creil Montereau and The "Enfants Richard" decor for Sarreguemines. Enfants Richard and Service Parisien pieces are exhibited in several museums in France The plate has been drilled for hanging. No chips or cracks on this plate. IT IS RARE TO FIND ANTIQUE FAIENCE IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE.
