This beautiful serving plate has been intricately embossed with cartouches, flowers, ferns and scrolling designs in gold. Pickard Studio has chosen a brilliantly white background for the center and hand painted Dresden like floral pattern of dark pink, purple, blue and yellow flowers in the center. Pickard Studio is very well known for their gold encrusted method of painting porcelain and these plates are a wonderful example of just that! "All patterns are decorated with 24K gold (never anything less).......with a style that caters to a niche of clientele looking for elegant, timeless upscale dinnerware." The pattern can be seen in the "Collector's Encyclopedia of Pickard China by Alan B. Reed". There are no chips, hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc
