This set is amazing and would be perfect to serve berries or dessert. They were made by Bryce Brothers, c. 1875. The pieces have panels of forget-me-nots with stippled backgrounds alternate with clear and cross hatched panels around the compote and bowls. The compote design is not as defined as the trays; please see pictures. The glass is so old you can see the hay marks and air bubbles. There are no chips or cracks.
Early American Pattern Glass, also known simply as "pattern glass", "pressed glass", or Victorian glass, is pressed glass tableware (& some related novelty glass items) made during the Victorian period ca 1850-1910, only in America, in goblets and in "sets" such that all of the pieces in the set match in design.
