This special set has been painted by three talented china artist. Otto Podlaha was the designer of the "Gold Orchid" pattern and has initialed the creamer and sugar. He also worked for Pickard Studios. R. B. whom I cannot identify, initialed the salt and pepper. These pieces have been painted with a white background. The artist has painted wonderful golden orchids and has accented them with black. This pattern known as the "Gold Orchid" is shown "Collector's Encyclopedia of Pickard China," by Alan B. Reed. There are no chips, hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies may exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
