This match holder still will do the job if you have the old wooden matches handy! This shape is one of the hard to find ones. The inside, rim and base have a deep forest green color. The center portion has raised relief designs making a rough surface to strike the matches on. It is a sandy beige color and goes nicely with the dark green. IT IS RARE TO FIND ANTIQUE EARTHENWARE IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE.
