This piece is marked with one of the earliest backstamps that the Haviland Co had used. The white and gold is so elegant and it would go with any other dinner set! The pieces have a brilliant white background. Raised ornate rope designs accented with gold are around the handles & finial. Just these simple accents make these pieces so beautiful that it doesn't need anything else. You can see a similar pattern with the rope design in Mary Gaston's reference book: 'Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain' 3rd edition on page 1843. The creamer does have a hairline crack and there is some gold wear, please see pictures. Manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
