Zuie Mc Corkle has signed this masterpiece with her well now signature of "Z Mac". She decorated at the Ravenswood Studio from 1905-1910, and is best known for her well executed floral in stylized and Art Nouveau patterns. She has applied a band of baby blue for the background at the base. She has outlined it in gold and has added a golden leaf design extending up the side. Around the golden leaf she has painted variegated green leaves and blue forget-me-not flowers. On several of the flowers she has added yellow and gold brown centers. She has placed the floral motif on a creamy white background. The upper rim and lip of this candlestick is adorned in gold giving it the Pickard trademark. . There are no chips or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc. This would be a wonderful addition to anyone's Pickard collection or if you were going to start one this could be your first piece!
