This lovely old dish is in the shape of a leaf and has a tan border with just a hint of mauve here and there around its scalloped edge. The rim has raised relief in a leaf designs showing veins and stems of the leaf. The inner well of the plate is a cream color with three green colored leaves. One leaf has a nice yellow border giving the piece a very nice accent. There is a place on the outer rim without glaze; either an old chip or the glaze was defective in this one spot, but it does mean the dish is imperfect even if the flaw is scarcely noticeable. A plate similar to this can been seen in Warman's Majolica Book by Mark F. Moran on page 11. IT IS RARE TO FIND VINTAGE & ANTIQUES MAJOLICA IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IF PRESENT IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE.
