American Brilliant Period cut glass is seen at it's best in the art work of Charles Tuthill. World wide admiration for pieces of American cut glass produced in the 19th and 20th century were known for excellent craftsmanship and high standards of glass making. This rare Tuthill piece in the Wild Rose pattern is always among the "Best of Show" at all ABP gatherings and specialty auctions. You will see pure elegance in the design and craftsmanship of this outstanding 10" tray. This piece is in excellent condition, please see pictures. Noted authorities say " First known for it's geometric designs, the Tuthill company began to incorporate intaglio designs featuring flowers and fruit into it's patterns after 1900. These intaglio patterns have become both popular and have increased greatly in value."
Marked "Tuthill" etched on bottom of this piece. This trademark was used circa 1910.

This item, along with many others we will be listing are part of a private estate that belonged to a 5 generation family from Western Kansas. The well established family was in the area for over 125 years. They were large land owners, wheat farmers and business owners.
