The factory artist `Alice' has painted her rendition of beautiful poppy flowers. She has used deep orange and white for the petals and added black centers. One lone little orange bud and smaller green ones seems to be lost amongst the larger flowers. She has used a light gray green for the leaves and has accented them with a subdued white hue. The design gives a feel of a whirlwind spinning everything around the white center. The outside also has the same poppy motif decorating it nicely. She has applied a wide band of gold on the rim trapping all inside and finishing off this beautiful piece. `Alice' has signed the front of this plate taking pride in the finished product. She is a listed artist in Mary Gaston's reference book: 'Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain' 3rd edition . There are no chips, hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc. This would brighten up any room!
