What a serving bowl! It has a nice deep well to hold all those wonderful foods or would look great just on display. The bowl has been decorated with a deep black blue transfer of roses and additional flora. The use of dark and light colors in the transfer gives it a nice depth. The design is on the rim of the bowl and also in the center on a white background. The edge of the bowl has six slightly scalloped areas on it and raised relief design under the blue transfer. This piece does have a hairline that goes half way around the bottom of the bowl. I noticed it when I washed it and the crack got damp. When the piece is dry it is very hard to see. It also has some glaze missing on the underneath portion of the rim. This is common for old pieces such as this. IT IS RARE TO FIND ANTIQUE EARTHENWARE IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE.

Backstamp: Eagle Wm Adams England inside garland Wildrose Pattern underneath
