14k Edwardian Engraved Bar Pin Tourmaline & Seed Pearls

A gorgeous antique Edwardian 14k bar pin featuring a rich green tourmaline and fresh water pearls.

The gold bar is is triangular in shape, the sides are beautifully embellished with fine line engraving, even the curved area of the bezel is engraved.

The bezel set tourmaline has an open back so the light passes through the stone.

Two fresh water pearls are peg set flanking the tourmaline, they are well matched for size and color.

The bar measures 2.5" by 3/16", the tourmaline is 4mm round, the pearls are 1+mm.

Very well made and in excellent condition, no damage or visible wear. The back of the pin has an arch in the center to keep the pin secure from flipping, a sure sign of quality in the construction.

Marked 14k on the old style safety clasp that works in reverse, the pin was tested for gold purity Total weight is 4 grams. I was unable to identify the hallmark.
