Welcome to BeJewelled
A sweet antique Edwardian lace pin c1900-1910.
This diminutive style was most often a "lace pin", it was used to hold something in place- to confine a length of lace at the neckline or at the throat, sometimes to attach drapery at the shoulder. They often had sentimental meaning.
The pin features three bezel set seed pearls, spring green enamel and fine twisted wire work and solid gold beads.
Measures 1" by 3/16", the pearls are 2mm, total weight is 2.3 grams.
Marked 14k on the old style safety clasp that works in reverse. There is a hallmark that looks like a figure 8.
Very well made and in excellent condition, no damage or visible wear.
A lovely antique Edwardian lace bar pin with an intricate design.
