A fabulous vintage Chinese sewing or 'wedding' basket c1920s.

The round basket is beautifully hand painted with fruit, the painted designs match up on the sides, the inside and bottom are unpainted.

The top is decorated with Chinese ornaments- two silk tassels and a large cobalt glass ring, the inside has a lip so the top stays securely in place.

Measures 11.5" in diameter by 4.25" high, the large, thick cobalt glass ring has a diameter of 3.5".

Excellent condition with minor paint wear around the outer edge. The inside lip was reinforced with thread-no distraction. The tassels do show wear but are in tact.
