A fun vintage bracelet of carved and polished soapstone panels and gold filled wire.
This style of bracelet was often made and sold at carnivals and events during the 1920s-30s.
The seven stones are rectangular, they are flat on the back with the tops carved into four sided pyramids.
A groove is cut around the circumference of the stones and the gold wire fits into the cut space and the soapstone pieces are wrapped tightly.
Most of the stones are a milky white, two have natural striations of a golden color.
The clever construction uses the wrapped wire to create the four rings on the sides of each stone, the panels are then connected with three links of coiled wire jump rings.
The bracelet measures 7.5" by .75", because of the chunkiness of the stones though it sounds large it will fit a small to medium wrist.
Each stone measures approximately .75" by .5", it closes with a secure spring ring catch.
A great vintage silver and polished soap stone bracelet c1930s.
