A delightful brightly colored dusting powder tin from Richard Hudnut* "Three Flowers" line of beauty products c1927.
The tin has great deco graphics of an elegant lady seated at her vanity table in a flounced dressing gown with a powder puff in one hand and a mirror in the other. Her maid stands behind her fussing with her hair.
The sides of the tin are printed in two places "three flowers Dusting Powder, Richard Hudnut, New York~Paris.
The bottom of the tin is decorated with shiny gold lettering and designs on a matte gold background, it has the same information as the sides.
Inside contains a large puff and a smaller one, there is no powder.
The tin has a diameter of 6" in diameter by 2.75" tall.
It is in very good vintage condition, there are scuffs and visible wear but nothing major. The tin is rust-free and opens smoothly.
A charming old tin and great addition to any collection of vanity items.
*Richard Hudnut joined his father’s business in 1873 at aged 18.
