*Gold bearing quartz is one of the rarest forms of natural gold. During the Gold Rush of the 1880's in the United States, most of the gold quartz stones were mined in California. It is found in only a few locations in the world. When the quart stone contains a rare matrix, of gold, a beautiful piece of jewelry can be created.
