A wonderful vintage 14k yellow gold ring with a beautiful carved jade cabochon.
Jade has been used as a sacred stone for centuries* and was used for serenity, wisdom, balance, and things associated with spiritual practices.
The stone has beautiful shades of green from light to medium green, it is carved in a floral design of posy like flowers.
The jade is securely set with four double prongs, the solid shank joins the setting at the bottom of the basket setting.
The shank is wider at the sides and taper gently towards the back.
Ring size 5.75, the jade measures 13/16" by 5/8". (22mm by 15mm).
Very well made and in excellent condition, no damage or visible wear.
Marked 14k inside the shank, total weight is 5.8 grams.
