A very unusual antique Victorian sterling and enamel pin set with tiny seed pearls.
The surface is covered with a pattern of small sections of matte white enamel with a very fine line design in light blue.
The tiny gray seed pearls are bead set at every corner creating a fabulous pattern that resembles cloth.
The workmanship is very delicate and precise, the overall look is subtle but quite amazing.
Measures 1" in diameter, it closes with a C clasp and riveted tube pin stem that exceeds the length of the pin, a testament to its age.
Overall excellent condition, there is a tiny flake of enamel missing on one box on the border, it is not very visible because of where it is and does not detract from its beauty. The C catch looks like it is a replacement.
Unmarked, the silver tested sterling with acid. Total weight is 7.2 grams.
A rare and very unique antique Victorian sterling, enamel and seed pearl pin c1850-60.
