Antique Edwardian 10k Blue Jewel Filigree Lace Pin

A dainty antique lace pin beautifully crafted in 10k yellow gold.

The petite pin was most often a "lace pin" used to hold something in place-to confine a length of lace at the neckline or at the throat, sometimes to attach drapery at the shoulder. They often had sentimental meaning.

The pin has a blue paste jewel in the center, it is framed with delicate openwork designs.

The outer border has fine engraved lines that create a texture that reflects the light.

The design is light and airy yet solid and very well constructed.

Measures 1.25" by .5, total weight is 1.6 grams.

Marked 10k on the old style safety catch that works in reverse.

Excellent condition with no damage or visible wear, secure safety catch.
