A vibrant, flaming red and lavishly embellished vintage ball gown c1960s.
The gown has a fitted top with an over layer of sheer netting that is decorated with aurora borealis red beads, silver thread and clear beads with interior silver flashing.
The neckline and slightly empire band has clear red lucite bi-cone beads mixed with the larger silver flashed beads.
The skirt joins the bodice slightly above the natural waist line and has an elegant flow with movement.
The puffy sleeves are diaphanous with no under layer so the arms can be seen through the material.
The full skirt has small pleats that allow the skirt to billow, there is a heavier red crepe layer under the sheer skirt that has a high slit.
The dress closes with a full 21" metal zipper so it is easy to put on and take off, the puffy sleeves have a 1.5" band just above the wrist that closes with two snaps.
The dress moves gracefully, the sheer full skirt and sleeves allow for ease of movement.
Measurements are: 34"+ bust, under bust (around the band) 28", skirt 39" from band to hem, bottom hem is 182" around for maximum swirl, the beaded bands are 2" wide, sleeve length is 22", shoulder to hem is 51.5". The dress will fit a size 8 -10, the model is a size 6 and it still looks great on her!
Excellent condition, no damage or visible wear, stains, holes, etc, it looks as if it was barely worn.
Please check your measurements carefully against a dress that you own.
