A fabulous example of an antique genuine jet bead bracelet.
Natural jet* was very popular in Victorian England.
The design of faceted rectangles create pyramids that reflect the light off the very shiny surfaces.
All fourteen pieces were faceted by hand so each is unique and have very slight differences in size and shape.
Excellent condition with a highly polished finish, there is a single chip on the inside corner of one panel next to the knot, it is barely visible due to the jet black color and that most on the chip is on the inside. (photo 7)
Measures 7/8" wide, the bracelet has been restrung with new elastic which allows for a comfortable fit while being strong and sturdy.
Perfect for a small to medium size wrist, it will fit a larger wrist but may be difficult going over a very large hand.
A bold, beautiful and dramatic, a stunning authentic antique Victorian Whitby jet bracelet.
