A great example of a beautiful Siam sterling and niello bracelet.
Niello is a low firing enamel like mixture of copper, silver, and lead sulphides used as an inlay on engraved or etched metal.
The niello is a silvery gray color and makes a lovely background for the hand engraved dancers.
There are seven slightly domed panels with four different dancers, each panel has cut work framing the images.
Nice attention to detail, the engravings are intricate and precise, the niello is perfectly applied and the lacy cut work framing the designs add delicacy.
The panels are connected with buttons of niello hiding the plain silver jump rings which give the bracelet a very finished and clean look.
Excellent condition, no damage or visible wear, it closes with strong hidden box clasp. There is a lot of reflection off the shiny niello, in person the silver gray color is uniform.
Marked Siam Sterling on the back of the clasp, total weight is 35.5 grams.
A lovely old Siam sterling bracelet c1950s.
