A personal favorite vintage jewelry technique was created by W. E. Richards Company of Attleboro, Ma. founded in 1902.
The Symmetalic line was developed in 1936, it used a layer of 14k fused to sterling or a layer of gold fill on top of sterling.
This bracelet is solid sterling topped with a layer of 14k gold fill.
The transitional design exhibits both Art Deco and Retro lines.
The links are lens shaped- two arcs that meet in a point, the connectors are square pyramids.
Swirling angled curls oppose each other within the link, a small bead tops the inner curls.
Marked on the back of the clasp 'Symmetalic Sterling & 1/20 14k GF' though it is so faint it is barely visible, it can be seen with a loop.
Total weight is 12.8 grams.
Excellent condition, no damage and minimal wear.
A beautiful Art Deco/Retro bracelet and a great example of symmetalic sterling c1930-40s.
