An extraordinary set of six 19th century Baccarat French crystal glasses in amazing condition.
The set of six glasses have magnificent rich colors- two cobalt, two light magenta and two chartreuse yellow.
The top of the glasses have the color, they are embossed with gold gilt around the rim as well as in an ornate design that is different front and back.
The bottom of the glasses are clear though they have an indented surface that is evenly distributed and creates a wonderful optic. Difficult to see in the photos but visible if you look at the edge at the bottom of the glass- a subtle but beautiful detail.
The glasses are in near mint condition, no damage, no chips, no scratches, no gold loss except for a tiny speck on the top rim of a cobalt glass which may have been original to the production.
Each tumbler measures 4" tall, with a top opening of 2&9/16" and a base of 2".
Every glass is marked with the Baccarat trademark which was first used in 1860*.
Everything about this set is exceptional- the design, color and condition, the quality says royalty!**
A rare and fabulous set by one of the finest names in glass.
