A rare example of a late Victorian mourning ring made in oxidized sterling, black enamel and a faceted paste stone.
The large paste stone is bezel set in a closed back setting.
The area around the stone has shiny black enamel to the sides of the shank, the back is oxidized so it appears dark.
Ring size 11, the paste stone measures 8mm in diameter. The front of the ring is just under .5".
Marked sterling inside the shank, total weight is 4.4 grams.
Excellent condition, no damage, the enamel is all in tact, there is very minimal wear.
A unique antique mourning ring and great addition to any collection.
