A wonderful old Mexican ring made in high grade 980 silver.
The ring predates the eagle stamp, it is marked 980 Taxco.
The design features three 'silver pearls' - domes of silver that are made to look like pearls set in a bezel, a design element later used by Scandinavian designers including Georg Jensen.
The three 'pearls' are set on a curved silver platform with a scalloped edge, the large center dome has solid silver beads at the corners.
The shank is a flat silver band with an incised line in the center.
Ring size 7.5, the front measures 1" by 5/8" wide, the shank is .25" wide.
Total weight is a solid 7.5 grams.
Excellent condition, no damage and minimal wear, beautiful aged patina that enhances the design.
A rare example of an old Taxco 980 silver ring.
