A charming antique Victorian 10k yellow gold "honeymoon"* pin c1880-1900.
Beautifully made with precision, a small spray of lily of the valley is nestled the center of the crescent.
Each flower has two tiny seed pearls set within the three flowers, a large fresh water pearl hovers above the flowers and rests on the crescent.
Excellent, very clean, near mint condition, no damage or visible wear, rich patina on the gold.
Photos were taken with and without the flash.
The pin measures 7/8" by 5/8" and weighs 2.1 grams.
Unmarked for karat, the pin tested 10k with acid.
A really sweet and sentimental Victorian 10k 'honeymoon' pin.

The honeymoon pin was a wedding custom in which a new groom presented his bride with a pin that was symbolic of their union. The crescent symbolized the 'moon' and flowers that symbolized nectar- the 'honey' portion of the word.
