A wonderful example of Scandinavian modernist sterling jewelry.
This Finnish cuff bracelet is sleek and simple yet has great impact.
The front has a silver dome on each side of the cuff, the rest of the bracelet is plain.
It can be worn with the domes on top or underside of the wrist.
The design is very clean and looks great alone or stacked with other bracelets.
The band is 3/8" wide (9mm), the domes have a diameter of 3/8", inside diameter is 2&7/16" by 2&1/8", inside circumference is 6&7/8" including the .75" opening. The bracelet is quite flexible and can be stretched an additional 1.25" to open.
Excellent condition with no damage and minimal wear.
Very well hallmarked with the national mark- a heart with crown (the heart cartouche indicates it was made in Finland), 916H purity -the letter H stands for the Finnish word for silver "hopea", the rowboat stands for Helsinki, H7 is the date letter mark which is 1961. The makers mark is in a diamond cartouche, the initials AEK for A.E.Korhonen (1948-1969). The 916H silver purity was used from 1925-1968.
Total weight 15.7 grams.
A lovely example of mid-century modernist jewelry from Finland.
