Egyptian Revival WRE Sterling Bracelet Gemstone Scarabs c1950s
A fabulous sterling Egyptian Revival bracelet W. E. Richards Co., of North Attleboro, Massachusetts.
The scarab beetle was sacred to the ancient Egyptians, a symbol of resurrection and the afterlife.
The bracelet uses a great combination of seven different gemstones carved into scarabs.
The stones include striped agate, tiger eye, chalcedony, carnelian, chrysoprase, jasper, and epidote.
The large cabochons are carved on both sides, set vertically in open back bezels and attached with double wire connectors.
Very well made and in excellent condition, no damage and no visible wear.
Marked Sterling WRE on the secure spring fold over clasp.
Measures 7" by 5/8", each bezel set stone is 16mm by 12mm, total weight is 24 grams.
