An elegant fine quality vintage evening bag made for Ed B Robinson c1950s.
Shimmering silk brocade in pale blue, beige and soft metallic gold thread.
Expertly made with great attention to detail.
The curved gold plated frame has embossed detail and a diamond shaped engraved clasp set with an amber Vauxhall glass faceted jewel.
The top has very fine pleating around the entire curve of the frame.
The creamy silk interior is mint, a slide pocket holds the original mirror, there is a small slide pocket for a lipstick and a second slide pocket on the opposite side which holds the original change purse.
A label is sewn inside reading Exclusive Handbags by Ed B Robinson with the handbag shaped logo with EBR inside.
Measures 6.5" across the bottom of the frame, 9.5" across the widest part by 6.5" long, the chain handle is 9.5".
Condition is outstanding, no damage or wear, inside or out. The hinge and clasp work perfectly.
I would rate this bag as mint condition, no signs of any where, clean and simply gorgeous.
Surprisingly neutral, an understated beauty of fine designer quality and in amazing condition.
