A charming Victorian Revival glazed porcelain powder jar made in Japan c1950s.
The woman is very ladylike in her pose, she holds her billowing skirt with one hand while an exotic bird on the other.
Her hair is piled high with a hair comb nestled in the top, some length of hair brushes her shoulders.
The very fitted white dress has ruffled sleeves, a sparse floral motif and metallic gold trim decorate the puffy skirt, a single rose at the breast.
The exotic bird is all white with gold accents.
She stands 7" tall, the base measures 3.75" by 3.25".
Excellent condition, no damage or visible wear.
Marked 'Made in Japan' on both pieces.
A delightful powder jar and great addition to any vanity collection.
