A sweet antique 800 silver pin c1900.
The safety pin style was most often a "lace pin" used to hold something in place-to confine a length of lace at the neckline or at the throat, sometimes to attach drapery at the shoulder. They often had sentimental meaning.
In this case the pin has a lovely coral cabochon bezel set and framed with a tight twist of wire.
The border has tiny circles of twisted wire that create a scalloped edge.
Measures 1.25" by .5", the coral has a diameter of 7mm.
Marked 800 for silver content and hallmarked CB.
Excellent condition, no damage and minimal, dark aged patina wear.
A lovely antique Victorian lace pin with a beautiful salmon cab.
