A lovely antique Victorian rose gold watch pin c1880-1900.
The layered pin is a rich 10k rose gold, the design has a wonderful combination of materials.
The flower like composition is sculptural, the center has a beautiful mine cut diamond set in a six prong setting.
Curls of matte green enamel frame the sparkling diamond.
The border design has graceful curls with thirty bead set seed pearls in at least two sizes.
The lacy pin is in excellent condition, no damage or visible wear, pearls are all original.
Measures 1" in diameter, the diamond is 3mm, total weight is 3.5 grams.
Closes with a wide style C catch and hinged pin stem, it has the addition of a watch hook as well so it can be worn as a pendant or used to hang a watch, charm or locket.
Unmarked, the pin tested 10k with acid.
It comes in the original blue paper box.
A fine quality example of Victorian design and artistry.
