A fabulous Victorian necklace c1870s-80s. Beautifully crafted in 14k rose gold with some small yellow gold embellishments.
Very intricate designs use many techniques including engraving, enameling and applied wire work. The pendant has layered designs, two tassels hang from the bottom.
It is set with three tiny turquoise and one seed pearl, the enamel is cobalt blue.
The pendant contains a hidden catch, as well as a watch hook and pin findings.
The intricate chain has repousse links with a twist of wire in the center that connect with plain flat links.
Measures 18", the pendant measures 2" by 1.25", total weight is 23.6 grams.
The condition is excellent, no damage and very minor wear.
Unmarked, it tested 14k with acid.
So much more amazing in person, the necklace is a superb example of Victorian craftsmanship.
