A whimsical two piece buckle made from a pair of Art Deco, two hole sew through buttons.
The buttons are celluloid over blackened metal.
The celluloid has a great design in muted shades of sage green, brown and a pinky beige.
The buckle closes with metal findings that were pinned through the buttons, the findings are not shown in the first photo, the picture processing removed them as part of the 'background'- they are secure and in tact
Nicely made, the button holes are used to sew it to a cloth belt.
They have a diameter of 2&5/8", closed the buckle measures 5&1/8" by 2&5/8".
It is in excellent condition with no damage and very minor surface wear noticeable under close inspection, white spots are reflection.
There are some scratches on the blackened metal back.
Perfect for a vintage or contemporary dress, purse, vest or endless ways for a creative person to use.
